Do You Need To Recycle Your Christmas Tree?

By Andrew Reed

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV/KTWT-TV) The City of Twin Falls opened a Christmas tree recycle center.

Residents can dispose their unwanted Christmas trees free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

The center is located at 170 Maxwell Ave, on the east side of Twin Falls Park and Recreation Department.

"The trash people will pick up the trees if you fit it in your garbage can, but we don't recommend it” said Josh Palmer, City of Twin Falls.

All trees will be chipped into wood mulch that is used to landscape city parks.

Gates to the recycle center are open 24 hours through January 27th.
