Doctors Say Timing of Flu Shot is Crucial
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV )
It's about that time of the year again where one needs to worry about getting the flu.
And unfortunately, not everyone may be relieved by a simple flu shot.
There are some who should not get one, including children under six months old.
This also includes people who have had an allergic reaction.
However, doctors urge those who are able to to get a flu shot.
But family physician Laurence Hicks points out timing is everything.
Hicks warns, "If they get it too early, like early September, they may have the immunity for September, October, November but they may get the flu later in December."
