By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A local animal shelter is bustling with activity after the 4th of July.

35 dogs have arrived at the Twin Falls Animal Shelter since July 3rd, according to Director, Debbie Blackwood. She says it's one of the busiest holiday periods they've seen. Her advice, don't wait too long to report a missing pet.

"Please call ASAP, cat or dog, if it's anywhere around the fourth because they're likely to come here or they could be hiding in the brush."

Blackwood says people with leftover fireworks could be setting them off in the next few weeks. She recommends playing a radio or asking a veterinarian if medication would help nervous dogs.
