By Ben Lyda

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) After a short stint off the air and a large media campaign to bring him back doctor nick redbone is kicking again on a new station 103.1 The Edge.

He's loud, he's crude, but he's loved by many followers, known as the "Freak Nation".

When Doctor Nick Redbone walked away from his job at the station I-Rock 102.1, a bring back Dr. Nick facebook page was launched within hours.

"I'm a kid from Filer, I'm from Filer, and it turned out to be this big deal and you know I am humbled by it it's totally cool, I'm not going to say I hate it, but I honestly thought that when I left where I was, I kind of thought it was done”, said Dr. Nick

But radio wasn't done with him. Lee family broadcasting saw an opportunity to pick up the most popular DJ in southern Idaho.

"It's been a great move for us, he's brought a lot of enthusiasm to the radio station the edge, and he had a tremendous following at his previous gig, it was kind of a no brainer”, said Kim Lee owner of Lee Family Broadcasting.

"Without listeners there is no reason for there to be a radio station and there's sure no reason for me to be around. So the fact that they saw me in a moment that their support would help, they totally jumped up, I mean, you saw the facebook page pop up out of nowhere, get Dr. Nick back on the radio. I was stunned, I mean, thank you. So cool, so cool, I will never forget it as long as I live. For a dude who talks for a living, it kind of leaves me speechless, I mean it's pretty overwhelming”, said Dr. Nick
