Drawing some new lines in Cassia County
BURLEY, ID (KMVT) The Cassia County Commissioners looked into redistricting in their county, and what the new maps would look like.
As we told you before, Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs told the redistricting committee their preliminary map wasn't done properly. The Idaho Supreme Court agreed, and told the committee to pay attention to the state constitutional requirements. Cassia County Administrator Kerry McMurray says that Cassia and Minidoka Counties are now together in the same district. Because this is a general election year, the commissioners had to redraw the maps for the three districts they represent. There was a slight population shift in the 2010 US Census, which the commissioners made up for today. Jan. 30, 2012. Comments ( |
