Dump Hunger Campaign Underway

Tools

By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) For the next month, Western States, Albertsons and Wells Fargo will be working to feed the hungry.

Dump Hunger is an annual food drive designed to replenish food banks after the holiday season.

Last year over 700 thousand pounds of food was donated. Their goal is 450 thousand pounds and all food donated in the Magic Valley will stay in local food banks.

Area Director of Western States' Dump Hunger campaign Kristina Jewell says, "we do it in January and the beginning of February because that's when the donations tend to drop off the most so we're trying to help boost the food banks after the Christmas give outs."

Dump Hunger runs through February 10th.

Monetary donations can be made at Wells Fargo. Non perishable food can be donated at Albertsons and Western States.
