'Dump Hunger' ends Friday
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A major food drive wraps up at the end of the week.
Albertson's, Western States Caterpillar and Wells Fargo Bank are trying to 'Dump Hunger'. The 'Dump Hunger' campaign started on January 9th. The national goal is to bring in 600,000 lbs. of food. Just last month, the Salvation Army gave away 7,000 lbs. of food to needy families. And the Twin Falls Salvation Army says so far, there's only been 3,000 lbs. of food donated to the drive. "We've got to do the big push. People in Nampa are telling me we're the little Twin Falls people, we can't beat them and I don't think that's true. I think my people have bigger hearts than anyone in the state of Idaho," says Nicki Kroese, Salvation Army. You can take your food donations to Albertson's or the Salvation Army through Friday at five p.m. Wells Fargo will match donations brought in by the community. Comments ( |
