UPDATE INFORMATION: Early Morning Vehicle Fire In Twin Falls
UPDATED INFORMATION: Police in Twin Falls say that there’s a new twist to the car explosion on Eden street this morning. Authorities say the vehicles owner has recanted his earlier story about his car exploding when he unlocked the driver’s door. Apparently the owner had some aftermarket work done to the car resulting in a fuel leak. When he went to his car this morning to light a cigarette the car burst into flames. Earlier the man reportedly said the explosion happened when he turned the key, leading authorities to believe he may have been a victim of foul play. Lt. Craig Stotts with the Twin Falls Police said they asked the ATF to investigate. Stotts said they are in the process of concluding their investigation and will then turn it over to the Twin Falls Prosecutor for possible charges. The man remains hospitalized at St. Luke’s in Twin Falls.
