Easter Egg Hunts everywhere on Saturday

Filer, Idaho ( KMVT – TV / KTWT-TV ) Easter Egg Hunts can be found all over Southern Idaho Saturday.

From Wendell to Filer and all points in between, children of all ages were up to the challenge.

In Wendell, Valley Manor held their 15th annual Easter Egg Hunt, which involved the entire community.

The retirement home colored 3,000 eggs on Friday and another 500 were donated to make their event a success.

At the Filer Fairgrounds hundreds showed up to support an event specifically geared towards helping children with special needs.

It took 2 weeks to plan and involved employee's from the Twin Falls Sheriffs, the BLM, Albertsons and Cactus Petes.

864 eggs were set out and more important, no child left without an Easter basket.

It was quite a success for what may be the only egg hunt of its kind in the area.

All of the organizers helped out by participating in fundraisers or buying toys and candy themselves.

The Sheriff's Association couldn't agree on how many years they've sponsored Saturday’s event, but agreed it was quite a few.

Almost 150 Easter baskets were handed out with the help of many volunteers.
