Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Staying cool and eating ice cream. You can do both of those this Saturday in the Twin Falls City Park, while helping raise money for the Main Avenue Splash Park and Plaza.
Twin Falls Rotary is holding the third annual "Ice Cream Fun Day." They teamed up with Cloverleaf Creamery in Buhl. 19 local businesses created their own custom ice cream flavors. You can get just a taste of each of them this Saturday at the Twin Falls City Park.
Jill Skeem with Twin Falls Rotary club says, "19 new flavors, I think one has bacon in it this year. It should be a lot of fun, flavors you've never tried before in your life."
Bill Stoltzfus, owner of Cloverleaf Creamery, says, "What we've done the past two years is the winning flavor will be our flavor of the month in our dipping case for August."
Cloverleaf Creamery will make a total of ten gallons of each ice cream flavor. Then you can vote for your favorite flavor, as well as the best name of all the new ice cream flavors. But that's not all that's going on at the Twin Falls City Park this Saturday.
Skeem says, "This year we are in conjunction with Art in the Park. We plant to have kids activities there. So you can bring your little one, they can do other things besides eat ice cream. And we will have the dunk tank."
Another part of the fund raiser is a dunk tank featuring our own morning weatherman Nick Kosir. Other "dunkees" include Twin Falls County Sheriff Tom Carter and "Top Story" host Jill Skeem. You can throw three balls for five dollars.
The Ice Cream Fun Day will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. this Saturday in the Twin Falls City Park. Enjoy all the ice cream you can eat. It costs $6 for adults, $4 for kids age 11 and under.
