Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Today is Digital Learning Day here in Idaho and across the nation.

Slowly but surely local schools are introducing new technologies into the classroom. Even as early as kindergarten, students are learning how to make touch screen computers work. One teacher says her students "jump right in" when it comes to using smart boards in her classroom.

Holly Dickinson, Kindergarten Teacher at Perrine Elementary School, says, "Depending on what particular job they're having to do, they can specialize in some piece of technology. Just a basic introduction and not being afraid of it, even problem solving. They'll help me sometimes."

Dickinson says she helps her students see the current technology and work with it. They also see how it relates to their daily lives. She says they should be able to use any piece of technology as they grow up.
