Fair Boasting Higher Attendance Than Last Year
Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) While it may be early, the fair is seeing higher numbers in attendance. Optimism is looking strong as first day numbers surpassed 2012.
In fact, last year in general saw more disappointing numbers than the year before with approximately 7,800 attending, a drop of 2,200 in total. This year, the gross dollars increased with the new carnival.
That's good news for Fair Manager, John Pitz.
"I think the difference in the carnival and the monster truck show, we had almost 4,000 people in there last night always helps opening day when you have a good ring event," explains Pitz.
There's also a big replay board at the rodeo, which will come in handy.
Pitz adds, "we've got the 2012 PRCA Specialty Act of the Year, Keith Eisley, the funnyman for the rodeo for the next three nights."
Henry Mahoney came down from Bellevue to take in the sights and sounds of the twin falls county fair.
"Because its' so fun and they have really fun rides," adds Mahoney.
