UPDATE: Nampa Kidnapping Suspect Arrested In Las Vegas
UPDATE: Las Vegas, Nevada ( KBOI ) Police in Las Vegas make an arrest in a Nampa kidnapping case.
Jose Perez is behind bars in Sin City. He's accused of kidnapping his wife 28–year old Michelle Perez.
Investigators believe Jose showed up at her house, forced her into his car and took off to Las Vegas.
The FBI caught up with them and after a short pursuit, agents took Perez into custody.
"They spent the majority of the time there it looks like..it takes about... We calculated about 7 and a half hours if you're driving really fast and they'd been in the Vegas area for several hours to do things there contact folks there.. What they did we don't know at this point.. The investigations ongoing there," explains Joe Ramirez, Nampa Police Department.
Police say the two have been separated and there is an order where José is not allowed to have contact with his wife.
ORIGINAL STORY: NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) -- Nampa Police are looking for a 28-year-old Nampa woman who's the victim of a possible kidnapping.
Officials say Jose Bueno Perez, 36, who has a no contact order against his estranged wife, Michelle Maiden Perez, took her from her house against her will at about 5 a.m. Friday. The two are separated.
They were last seen leaving the Treasure Valley in a cream colored Chrysler 300 with Idaho license plates, 2J62495. NPD says they have information that Perez may has taken her to Las Vegas. Nampa Police is working with law enforcement officials there.
