Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) In just a few days the Festival of Trees is coming to Twin Falls.
Preparations will take place Tuesday and Wednesday.
Each year businesses, organizations, clubs and even schools decorate either a full sized tree and miniature tree or wreaths that are then sold off to the highest bidder.
Thursday at 6:30 p.m. is the lighting of the trees and gala sponsored by select health.
This is when the first bidding on the trees happens.
Friday is Senior's Day, so those sixty and older get in for free.
There are a variety of events that run through the weekend.
Saturday is Children’s Day starting at 10 a.m.
There will be Santa, pictures with Santa and other activities for the kids.
Saturday evening is Ladies Night Out starting at 7 p.m. with a fashion show, appetizers, fun and friends
And, Sunday is Family Day starting at noon.
Families can get into the event with an original copy of the coupon in the Times News paper.
"The funds for the Festival of Trees classically always go towards foundation projects, which are meeting the needs of additional health concerns in the community," Terry Rowe, St. Luke’s Magic Valley.
The money raised from this year's festival will go to help build a brand new half million dollar helicopter hanger at the hospital.
