Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A local woman who moved to Twin Falls from another country is sharing her experiences as a refugee.
She's writing a book called Liminal about the changes that take place in adjusting to life in a new country. That inbetween stage is important in refugees forming a new identity as American citizens.
Author Liyah Babayan says, "A cultural ritual where an individual is no longer who he or she was, and not yet who he or she will be."
Immigrants who aren't born here being able to make the shift is a crucial part of the magic of America. Her book is being edited right now, and will eventually be released in both hardcopy and e-book formats.
