UPDATED INFORMATION: Fire Burns 52 Acres Tuesday Afternoon In Hollister Area
Hollister, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Fire Crews from the Salmon Fire department and the Bureau of Land Management battled a blaze last night that burned 52 acres of private land, near Hollister. BLM spokesperson Kili Gough said that the fire was contained on private land but because it was threatening BLM land, they dispatched four engines to the scene along with one helicopter and one air attack plane. One tool shed burned and other structures along with some power poles were in the line of the fire, but they were protected by the fire crews. Gough said that people burning lost control when a gust of wind blew through the area. There were no injuries reported.
