Fire Burns 25 Acres Southeast Of Jerome

Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A brush fire worried some homeowners in Jerome this afternoon.

Two engines from the Jerome Rural Fire Department responded about two o'clock this afternoon. The blaze was near Silver Beach and Golf Course Road at 610 North 223 East.

The grass fire burned 25 acres on the east side of the road. The blaze was roughly a quarter of a mile away from nearby homes. The grassy area that burned is owned by the Bureau of Land Management.

A BLM spokeswoman says the cause of the fire hasn't been identified yet.
