UPDATE: Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A house in Jerome is destroyed after an evening fire.

Dispatchers say a fire broke out at 219 Mountain View Drive in the north part of the city.

Jerome Police tell us it appears to be accidental as the fire started on the back deck and moved to the house.

Police say two children were home at the time of the blaze and the mom had just left.

Officials have not determined a cause and the incident is still under investigation.
