Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A late afternoon fire in Jerome could be seen all the way to Twin Falls.
Just before five o'clock this afternoon, the Jerome Rural Fire Department responded to a fire at 176 West 100 North in Jerome. The owner of the house managed to make it out okay. Flames consumed an attached garage and the house, along with a vehicle that was in the garage. Witnesses aren’t sure how the fire started, but they thought a diesel tank might be involved. The Wendell Fire District brought a 3000 gallon super tanker to battle the blaze. One fireman was treated for heat exhaustion. We’ll bring you more on this story as we get more information about it.
