Fire Near Stanley Forces Evacuations

Stanley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A wildfire near Stanley is forcing the evacuation of campers in the area.

The Hell Roaring fire was reported Friday morning just before noon.

So far 195 acres have been scorched, most of that is beetle killed pine trees.

Four engines, three helicopters, four single engine air tankers (SEATs) and at least one very large air tanker (VLAT) are battling the flames.

Traffic along Highway 75 is being diverted.

No structures are being threatened at this time.
