Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - In a typical year, more fires in the United States are reported on the Fourth of July than on any other day.

Fireworks account for igniting a large portion of these fires.

With the fire danger high on the Twin Falls District, a single spark can create a major disaster.

Firefighters want to remind members of the community to be cautious while enjoying fireworks this year.

KMVT News was curious who would be to blame if fireworks started a fire?

So we went down to the Twin Falls Fire Department to find out.

"Well certainly, there is a possibility of being held responsible. There are liabilities. People need to keep in mind these are a dangerous thing to have around,” said Captain Allen Shropshire, Twin Falls Fire Department.

If you or someone you know witnesses any fire or illegal activity, please report it immediately.
