First Federal Expanding Downtown Campus
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) "We want to take our bank to the next level." That’s what First Federal CEO Alan Horner said Tuesday. First Federal plans to expand their downtown campus.
"The new expansion of the bank is going to really allow us a whole new realm of banking. Even stepping up higher than where we are currently, taking us to the next level," said Horner.
The urban renewal agency signed an agreement to sell a parking lot to the bank. The parking lot will become the site of the bank's new twenty thousand square foot financial services building.
"It's just so nice to have a local institution decide to reinvest in downtown. They've been in downtown for a long time and they could have went anywhere else in the Magic Valley or for that matter Twin Falls, but they chose to reinvest this large expansion downtown," said Twin Falls Mayor Greg Lanting.
The bank president explains that the new building will allow them to consolidate 127 employees in downtown twin falls. "It will give us room for new products and services that we're anxious to begin introducing. It will allow us to expand our product line. It will allow us to enhance existing products and services we have," said Horner.
The bank will take ownership of the parking lot once they have their construction permits. Bank officials are hoping construction will begin in the Spring of 2013.
