First Federal's Annual Southern Idaho Economic Breakast
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Ken Gronbach is a demographer. He counts people. Counting people is important when determining the future of our economy.
"We're going to be talking about the power of people. Shifting demography in the United States is really dramatic and lots of changes ahead for us. And at the risk of being too rosy here, they're all good. The United States and the Americas are really in a good place demographically," said Ken Gronbach.
Positive news that First Federal Savings Bank officials are excited to share with others.
"We wanted to have something for our clientele that gave them some input on maybe how they looked to perfecting their products, where the highs and lows will be in the economy so they can make their plans accordingly," said Alan Horner, First Federal President.
As a futurist, Ken Gronbach feels really good about the entire nation and also the Magic Valley.
"I think you are in excellent shape right now. You seem to have dodged a bullet overall with the economy. I may be mistaken. Idaho is a relatively small state with only about a million and a half people with only about forty thousand people in Twin Falls, but you are kind of a microcosm of what's next. I think your future is very bright with your best days ahead and not behind us," said Gronbach.
A bright future that will continue as more people move into the area.
"The bulk of the growth in Idaho in population is going to take place up and down the Snake River. So that puts Twin Falls right in the middle, or the Magic Valley right in the middle of this growth that is going to take place," said Alan Horner.
