Fish And Game Holds Sportsmen's Breakfast As Kick-Off
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Idaho Fish and Game held their annual Sportsmen's Breakfast to kick off the hunting season.
Around 40 sportsmen attended the event at the regional office in Jerome. Officials updated them on what to expect and some research on sagegrouse, pronghorned sheep as well as updates on area fires. Fish and game officials say these kind of events are great in getting in touch with area sportsmen. "It helps us do our jobs better because we know what sportsmen are thinking out there and we like to have good communication with the sportsmen," says Regional Education Conservation Specialist, Idaho Fish and Game. Deer and elk hunting is underway now. Pronghorned sheep season begins August 15th. And then at the end of the month, the general archery season begins for deer and elk. Comments ( |
