Flower Baskets Are Back In Downtown Twin Falls

By Joey Martin

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) An old downtown Twin Falls tradition is making its way back this summer.

On Monday the Twin Falls City Council approved a request to make that tradition a reality.

Back in 2010 the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce was forced to discontinue the hanging flower baskets in old town.

So 3 years later the Chamber came back to the city asking for a little financial help.

On Monday the council approved a request to help fund some of the daily expenditures that come with the program.

Out of general funds, the city will pay $8,840 for the baskets up-keep and watering.

But the Chamber is looking for interested businesses that are willing to sponsor the baskets themselves.

With a sponsorship your business will receive a flower basket along with signage clearly stating your business name.

The baskets will then be hung on the decretive light post that line Shoshone Street.

If you are interested in sponsoring one of the flower baskets, contact the Twin Falls Area Chamber of Commerce at 733–3974.
