Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV) A former College of Southern Idaho baseball player was sentenced today for selling steroids.

A year ago in May, William "Billy-Bob" Ward, 21, was charged with five counts of delivery of a controlled substance, and one count of conspiracy to deliver. Police say that was after Ward sold steroids to five of his teammates and an undercover police officer.

Ward pled guilty to three of those charges in November.

District Judge Randy Stoker said, "The one year fixed, two years indeterminate on each count running consecutively will be imposed. However, I will retain jurisdiction for 365 days."

That means Ward will serve a one year rider program first. If he does well, the sentence of at least three years and up to nine years in the state penitentiary could be dropped.
