Former Jerome Mayor Ralph Peters Passes Away At His Jerome Home
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Former Jerome Mayor and Idaho Legislative Representative Ralph Peters died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his home. He was 90 years old. According to a birthday announcement that family and friends sent out in January of 2012, Ralph was 7 years old when he came to Idaho and has been a Jerome resident since. Throughout his lifetime, Ralph was a pilot in the Army Air Force during World War II, flying the B-25 Mitchell bomber out of the Aleutian Islands. He was a Jerome Businessman, in addition to serving as Mayor and state legislator. He was very active in many Jerome community events. He married Blanche Callen in 1945 and they have five children. Bill of San Antonio, Texas, Bob of Rock Springs Wyoming, Katie Caldwell of Woodland California, Tom of Jerome and Peggy Stanley of Twin Falls. He has 27 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
