Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) -Tuesday, the Twin Falls YMCA held a very special event to help raise money for this year's Strong Kids Campaign.

And this year the "Y" decided to pull out all of the stops and invited special guest speaker... Bruce Jenner.

You might "Bruce" from the hit E! reality show "Keeping up with the Kardashians".

Back in 1976, the name Bruce Jenner was known around the world as the world's greatest athlete.

On Tuesday, the reality show star and Olympic gold medalist was in Twin Falls helping to raise money for our local YMCA.

“I started my career in sport at the YMCA when I was in Jr. High School in Tarrytown New York. We were driving over here and we went by one of the “Y”s pools and it was like nothing to join! You know it was like… I said I’d have all of my kids there. I mean the “Y” is so great for young people and old people too. It’s a good place if you go work out, I mean your health is everything. What I like to see is how the community might take support of the YMCA tonight, how the community supports these programs,” said Bruce Jenner.

All of the money raised from Tuesday’s event will go to help improve the quality of programs the local YMCA offers to children and young adults in our area.

With a 2012 goal of $100,000 Tuesday's event saw record numbers as over 500 people showed up to support the 'Y".
