Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) If you have diabetes, you know it's one of the most expensive medical conditions to treat.

St. Luke's in Jerome held a "Head to Toe" clinic this afternoon. It was a chance for people without insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid coverage, or with just very large health insurance deductibles to get some diabetes testing done for free.

Ann Bybee, Director of Diabetes Education at St. Luke's in Jerome, says, "We can check feet, eyes, blood pressure, a test called a1c, get some diabetic food information, all at no cost.

Bybee says the clinics are provided by St. Luke's, who teams up with the Lions Club and South Central Public Health District. She says if you'd like more information on these head to toe clinics, call your local public health office.
