Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Twin Falls School District Free Summer Lunch program has seen a boost in participants.

According to Spokeswoman Beth Pendergrass, the school district feeds approximately 2,300 kids per day. This is an increase of 300 kids from last year.

There are 12 locations around the school district and any child can attend. Sometimes parents come as well.

Pendergrass says, "every once in awhile you'll see the parents attending, they'll bring a blanket and have a picnic with the kids. They'll bring their own lunch, some of them will buy a lunch from the lunch program. So you see a few parents now and again, but mainly the kids."

The lunch program is available from 11:30 to 12:45 Monday through Friday.

The more popular places tend to be the City Park as well as Harmon Park.

The list of locations is as follows:

Lincoln Elementary, Harrison Elementary, Robert Stuart Middle School, O'Leary Middle School, Oregon Trail Elementary, Canyon Ridge High School, Harry Barry Park, Sunrise Park, City Park, Vista Bonita Park, Harmon Park and Clyde Thomsen Park.
