Freeze on Skis gives funds to Search and Rescue
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A popular event is no more, but what organizers decided to do with the funding will benefit the community for awhile.
Freeze on Skis organizers decided to give more than 33–hundred dollars to Twin Falls County Search and Rescue. The event began 25–years ago, but due to the economic climate decided to put a hold on future festivities. Freeze on Skis invites the community to go water skiing on January 1st, hence the freezing part. Over the years, Search and Rescue has provided assistance at the event. Now, Search and Rescue will use a portion of these funds for dive masks with communication abilities. Hank Heeling, CEO of Freeze on Skis says, "in fact, they pulled a few skiers out on occasion, and they're just great to work for. We've done a few fundraisers for the Search and Rescue and because of their past history, we would love to give them some money. And then when we talked with Lt. Daron Brown, he had a great cause with going to the dive masks and we thought it was right up our alley and it was great way to end." Heeling says he would like to see someone take over Freeze on Skis. Please call Sandy at 404-4099 or Hank at 731-0026. Comments ( |
