Southern/Western/Eastern Idaho (KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Freezing rain and snow is slowing the commute this morning. The Idaho State Police say that winter driving conditions exist along I-84 from about the Jerome county line into Cassia County. Many multiple slide-offs and jack-knifed trucks have been reported. Also the Roads in the I-90 area near 4th of July are heavily covered in snow. Multiple crashes and slideoffs are being investigated. In the Boise area, extending into Mountain Home there are several school closures being noted due to the weather.

The National Weather service has issued a winter weather advisory for moderate snow and low elevation freezing rain that remains in effect until 8 pm this evening for Cassia County. And a winter weather advisory is in effect for parts of Blaine County for Moderate snow. That advisory will remain in effect till 8 pm tonight as well.
