Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Friday morning, staff from the city of Twin Falls made a generous donation of well over $1,200 in cash and food items to the Twin Falls Salvation Army.
Members of the Twin Falls Police and Fire departments made their way to the Salvation Army to unload trucks and trunks full of holiday goodies.
To start off the morning of giving, Captain Matthew Hicks of the Twin Falls Police Department presented the Salvation Army with an envelope containing around 900 dollars and then the dedicated employees worked to unload all of the food items.
“You know we really encourage volunteerism threw our employees at the city of Twin Falls. And they really reach out and dig into their own pocketbooks and we were able to come up with over 1,200 dollars in total donations this year.” Said Captain Matthew hick of the Twin Falls Police Department.
And it wasn't just the fire and police guys...
Staff from across the city donated to this very good cause.
In years past the city has donated to needy families, the Valley House and many other worthwhile organizations and charities across the Twin Falls area.
