Americans around the country are gearing up for yet another year of gridiron action.
Here in southern Idaho it's the same story.
With games broadcasting in High Definition and TV sets increasing in size and quality and of course with beer and wings sales going through the roof…
Locals business like Quale’s Electronics and Buffalo Wild Wings look at the months between August and February as their prime sale season.
We spoke with both of these businesses on Tuesday and asked them how they are preparing for the upcoming season.
“We gear up for football season for sure. We order more sets… the manufactures discount the price, put instant rebates on. We know that football season drives business so we stock their sets deep now.”
Said Steve Quale, Sales Manager at Quale’s Electronics
“We’re just getting our staff ready… you know, really getting prepared for the guest that are coming in… we wanna be set up and ready to go. Football you’re here for about 3 of 4 hours at a time so we want people to be prepared and get great service.”
Said Eric Schindler, Assistant Manager of Buffalo Wild Wings.
For BSU fans, the Broncos take the field this weekend up in Seattle where they'll take on the Washington Huskies.
Kickoff is set for 8 Saturday evening.
The University of Idaho will take on North Texas in Denton Texas.
That game is scheduled for a 5pm kickoff.
And Idaho State opens their season on September 7th when they welcome Dixie State to Holt Arena in Pocatello.
