Getting the jump on Valentine's Day
TWIN FALLS, ID (KMVT) Valentine's Day is only a week away, and some of us are actually planning ahead for the holiday.
Community Support Center members in Twin Falls held a bake sale fundraiser. The money raised by selling the goodies helps the CSC members pay for things like food boxes and being able to do laundry for free. Orion Odendhal, Secretary for the CSC Advocates, says, "The purpose of the advocates is to involve the mental health patients who come to the Community Support Center in supporting themselves for hot lunches and free clothes." 25% of every fund raising event goes toward the members' annual camping trip in August. That pays for gas and food. The rest of the money raised helps pay for hot lunches five days a week and other needs the members may have. Feb. 7, 2012. Comments ( |
