UPDATE: Girl Slated To Be Released From Hospital After Nearly Drowning
UPDATE (Saturday 8:30 p.m.) Hagerman, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A 5–year old girl is looking at going home from the hospital after nearly drowning in a pool at Thousand Springs Friday.
Family told Gooding County Deputies that she was supposed to go home Saturday, but is now going home Sunday due to how far they live from the hospital. The child will go home if there is no complications. As of Saturday evening, there was still some fluid in her lungs.
ORIGINAL: A 5–year old girl is in the hospital after drowning at Thousand Springs Resort this evening.
This, according to an official with the resident officer in Hagerman for the Gooding County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was not breathing after being rescued from a pool.
An employee began CPR and the girl started breathing.
The girl was checked out by paramedics and is responsive.
The victim has been air lifted to a Boise hospital.
