'Glee Fever' In The Magic Valley

By Andrew Reed

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Glee clubs are popping up more and more around the country.

The hit FOX show Glee has started a high school trend.

Students are part of a glee club in Twin Falls.

One of their favorite television shows is of course glee, and that's where they got the idea of creating a show choir that allows everyone to step out of their comfort zone.

"It's been a good process for the schools in the United States and around the world to see a show like Glee come and make singing popular and make it fun and something other kids want to do” Karen Goodrich Choral Director, Canyon Ridge High School.

More 20-students are part of synergy. A club that allows teens a place to sing, dance, and express themselves.

"There are a lot of people who really enjoy singing and really want to be part of a really important show choir and make it big in something. I think this is something good to get yourself out there” Jake Packham 12th Grade, Canyon Ridge High School.

"I think it's really important that people should know that we are our own show choir, were not trying to be somebody else were original and were kind of writing our own book as we go along” Kiefer Starks 12th Grader, Canyon Ridge High School.

A club that wants to accomplish a performance as a group that you can't accomplish as an individual.
