Golf Scramble Raises Money For Twin Falls Splash Park

By Jay Michaels

Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Twin Falls Rotary Club and other golfers hit the links at the 93 Golf Ranch near Jerome.

It was a four person team scramble to raise money for improvements in downtown Twin Falls. Golfers piled into carts for the shotgun start at one o'clock this afternoon. One bystander said weather conditions were nearly ideal for today's golfing.

Paul Arrington, Twin Falls Rotary Club board member, says, "The money here is going toward the Main Avenue Plaza and SplashPark in downtown Twin Falls, to replace the old fountain with a new splash park, seating area, public restrooms, a really great venue for downtown, for concerts, for family fun, just a great venue down there."

The area around the old fountain has been the site of Twin Falls Tonight concerts in recent years. Right now there are no public restrooms outside of the stores in downtown Twin Falls.
