Golf Tourney Benefits Guatemalan Students In Need
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Saturday marked the Driving for Education Golf Tournament, sponsored by Guatemala Embrace Effort, held at Canyon Springs.
The group helps under funded government sschools in Guatemala. Proceeds from this tournament will go to the classrooms and other fundraisers helping the school. "Right now we are working with the school to help build onto the school. It's not safe and some of the students meet out the field. Not even in the school. We want to go down and make it big enough for the students," Sherri Hulet, an organizer. They hope to hold another golf tournament next year. Also, another project they're working on is to build a fence around the perimeter to protect the safety of the students. To check out the website, please visit embraceeffort.org.
