Grand Theft Of SUV Nets Driver 6 Years Of Probation
Rupert, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A man charged with stealing a sport utility vehicle was sentenced in District Court in Rupert today.
Police say a woman saw a man get into her SUV and drive away last October. Another person spotted the stolen vehicle near Milner Dam. After police chased the SUV for a mile, the road dead-ended. The driver got out of the vehicle and swam across the Snake River. Police captured 30 year old Jason Kelly Hutcherson and charged him with two counts of grant theft and one count of burglary. Hutcherson pled guilty to one grand theft charge. He was sentenced to at least three years in prison and up to six years. Judge Jonathan Brody suspended Hutcherson's sentence, and ordered him to serve six years of supervised probation. May 7, 2012. Comments ( |
