Gun Sales Are Sky High In Twin Falls

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) With last week's Sandy Hook school shooting and this week's proposed government ban on assault rifles; one local gun merchant is seeing a rise in his overall gun sales.

Ryan Horsley with Reds Trading Post in Twin Falls has seen more people come into his shop in the past week than he has seen in recent memory.

And you guessed it... top seller?... assault weapons.

Reds inventory has been almost completely cleared off the shelves.

It's getting to the point that the phones at Reds Trading Post were turned off due to the large number of gun buyers looking to buy before the proposed ban goes it affect.

"We've been selling a lot of semi–auto center fire rifles, it started with that. Now a lot of semi–auto pistols have been selling. Any high capacity magazines have all sold off of the shelves. Ammunition is... has been pretty much cleared out as well." Said Ryan Horsley, General Manager of Reds Trading Post
