Hagerman, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A four and half hour stand-off Friday evening ends peacefully in Hagerman. But the suspect, Keith Haynes, 34, overdosed on prescription drugs and is in the hospital. He is facing aggravated battery charges.

Cpl. Kelby Kornett, Gooding County Sheriff's Office tells KMVT around 6 p.m. Haynes crashed his pick-up into a fence on Reed Street. He then got into verbal altercation with two motorcyclists, both men. Witnesses tell deputies Haynes went into his pickup and retrieved a gun where he fired two shots at them. Haynes then walked a couple of blocks to his home on State Street where he barricaded himself.

Law enforcement blocked off State Street and detoured traffic through town.

Cpl. Kornett tells us they tried to negotiate with Haynes via landline. With the help of Gooding SWAT and Gooding Police, they took Haynes into custody around 10:30 p.m.

Haynes was sent to North Canyon Medical Center after overdosing on prescription drugs. Then he was airlifted to St. Luke's Magic Valley. As of 3:30 Saturday afternoon, Haynes is in critical, but stable condition.
