Hagerman Resident Named Volunteer Of Month

By Joey Martin

Hagerman, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) April is national volunteer month across the nation.

National Volunteer Week began in 1974 when President Richard Nixon signed an executive order establishing the week as an annual celebration of volunteering.

Every president since has signed a proclamation promoting national volunteer week.

Thousands of volunteers around the country will be honored with local organizational awards for their community service.

Each state chooses their top volunteer and for Idaho, that's right here in the Magic Valley.

80-year old Hagerman resident Bobbie Gross is being recognized for her dedicated community service and is an inspiration for people of all ages.
