Hagerman Superintendent To Be Executive Director Of IHSAA

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The Idaho High School Athletic Association has picked Ty Jones, the current superintendent of the Hagerman School District, to be their Executive Director. The IHSAA said Jones will succeed John Billetz on July 1. Billetz is retiring after leading the organization for 8 years. A native of Idaho, Jones graduated from Boise State University in 1989. He received both a Masters of Education and an Education Specialist degree from the University of Idaho. Jones began his educational career as a teacher and coach in 1989 at Twin Falls High School. He has since served as a teacher, coach and administrator at Gooding and Jerome before becoming Elementary Principal and Superintendent of the Hagerman School District in 2012.

The IHSAA say they interviewed three finalists for the position.
