Hailey Elementary Family Science Night

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Hailey Elementary School students and parents gathered tonight for Family Science Night.

With the help of the Wood River High School Girls Basketball team, kids had a chance to roam around and learn the fun side of science.

The event had everything from building towers out of marshmallows to candle vacuums and balancing points.

P.T.A member Kathy Baker says the event is always a big hit, "It's a favorite of the school. Kids look forward to it every year. We have usually about 100 students and their families come. This year we're partnering with Woodside Elementary because they're wanting to start a science fair after seeing how successful ours has been in the past."

This is the fourth year of the Family Science Night. It’s held as a kick off to the science fair held in March.
