Wells, Nevada (KMVT-TV) On Friday August 10th around 3:30 p.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers responded to a fatal accident on US 93 near mile marker 87. This is ten miles north of Wells, Nevada.

Preliminary investigation indicates Mr. Michael Cobb, age 64, from Salem, OR, was driving a Chevrolet pickup pulling a large trailer traveling S/B on US93. Ms. Linda Call, age 69, who has ties in Twin Falls from Star, ID, was driving a Ford Explorer traveling N/B on US93.

Witnesses stated a severe cross wind lifted up the large trailer causing the pickup and trailer to cross into the oncoming travel lane. The Ford Explorer hit the pickup head on.

After the collision, the Ford explorer came to rest on its wheels on the east dirt shoulder of US93. The Pickup and trailer traveled off the east dirt shoulder and overturned.

Mr. Cobb, the driver of the pickup sustained fatal injuries at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Ms. Call, the driver of the Ford Explorer, was transported to a Reno Hospital. She was wearing a seatbelt.

The passenger of the Ford Explorer, Ms. Carol Doramus, age 65, from Twin Falls, ID, sustained fatal injuries at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt.
