Helping Hands Freedom Trails Camp Out
For the past 30 years, one organization has been providing a fun and active release for those with special needs.
Helping Hands Freedom Trails Camp Out is all about a good time.
The three day camp is designed to give those with special needs or disabled individuals the opportunity to get out and enjoy their surroundings. From games to dancing and even karaoke, the camp has a little bit of something for everyone.
"We provide all of the meals breakfast , lunch and dinner Friday and Saturday... and then on Sunday we do a brunch,” said Lori Bird, Helping Hands. “We also have a church on Sunday. They love it, they're ready to roll as soon as their feet hit this dirt... they're ready to roll and what's next.""
The camp is located just west of the rest area north of Timmerman Hill in Blaine County. The camp is open to anyone who wants to participate. Pr-registration was requested but is still open to anyone that wants to come and join.
