Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Hero 2 Hired Job Fair is in Twin Falls Tuesday, as part of a statewide tour.
The job fair targets veterans, active duty military, national guard and reserve members, plus military spouses.
Local business leaders, as well as the Idaho and U.S. Departments of Labor, collaborate on this event.
Officials say due to an uptick in the economy, they're finding a lot of businesses are expanding.
It's estimated there were at least 100 job opportunities featured at the fair, which is good news for those in the military.
"Veterans and members of the military, like the guard and reserve, the advantage is they are trainable, can think on their feet, they're used to working in teams, they show up to work on time, they're there until the job is done, they have a really terrific work ethic," explains Teri Sackman, ETC, Hero 2 Hired Program.
Coming up in September, there's a larger job fair being held at the Idaho Center in Nampa.
