Heyburn recount in race for Mayor

HEYBURN, ID Incumbent Mayor George Anderson will continue for another term. In a recount of Heyburn ballots Monday upheld Mayor George Anderson's one-vote win on November 8.

The recount was performed at the Minidoka County Judicial Building.
Idaho Deputy Attorney General Mike Gilmore and Idaho Secretary of State Chief Deputy Tim Hurst confirmed the original results of the narrow race. Anderson received 170 votes, while challenger Dee Ray Bailey received 169.
