By Jeff Gomske

Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The High Desert Back Country Horsemen gathered at the Niagra Wildlife Management Area Saturday morning for a fundraiser and ride.

Some of the money raised will go towards repairing trails and purchasing equipment for the forest service.

They also help to re-build crossings over streams, bridges, old cabins and they even do legislative work.

According to Karen Ambrose of the High Desert Back Country Horsemen, their job is, "Mainly to keep trails open so people can get into the back country and ride their horses."

The event has been in the planning stages since the 1st of February.

Their next big activity is a trail cleaning in the South Hills on the Rimview Trail in early June.
